The Finnish Environment Agency (Syke) has reported that the Bornholm Basin is the most important chemical weapons dump in the Baltic Sea. The first Nord Stream pipeline leak was detected on Monday on the south-eastern side of Bornholm Island and since then, four leaks have been detected. Syke pointed out, however, that the effect of the gas leaks is likely to be small, as the weapons are located several kilometres away from the leak sites.
