At the opening of parliamentary proceedings, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has threatened again to block Sweden and Finland’s NATO membership: “As long as the promises made to our country are not kept, we will maintain our principled stance”. Erdogan has been threatening to block the membership of the two Scandinavian republics since mid-May.
