German art of the Weimar Republic, from 1920 to the advent of Nazism in 1933, is the protagonist of the exhibition scheduled from 14 October to 19 February 2023 at the Louisiana Museum in Humlebak, Denmark, in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou. All the greatest painters of the ‘New Objectivity’ (Neue Sachlichkeit) are on display, from Grosz to Dix, Schad to Grossberg, as well as an in-depth look at August Sander (1876-1964), the greatest exponent of photography of that artistic current.
