After more than 10,000 reindeer were killed by motorists in the last five years, Sweden’s Sámi parliament, based in Kiruna, is calling for more protection, including lower speed limits and more fences, among other solutions. The worst affected area was the road between Skröven and Moskojärvi (south-east of Kiruna).
